Form and Fire

In this project I desiged a fire extinguisher for public use in an aquatic life shop. This project is only intended to put out a small starter fire. I looked at the project from a functional, ergonomic perspective, having to consider how someone might approach the product, particularly in a critical emergency situation.

For my final design I came up with a conch like shape because I wanted it to fit into the environment of a fish store. Because of this shape I was able to use the lip of the shell as a safety mechanism and then put the trigger inside so the user has to slide their hand into the shell.
