A four-board rectilinear poplar reading stool designed to visually integrate a book and structurally support human weight. Design factors included visual hierarchy of boards, proportion of boards to one another and the book, and use of the book's context to guide the stool's composition. In my book, The Tipping Point, the author gives cases of what makes a product reach its hight. My stool recreates this theory by starting low and stepping to the highest point
